Sneak Peak

These characters and stories have been percolating, formulating and coagulating in my head for years and are finally ready to see the light of day. In a very rough form before being polished up, of course. Don't want to let too many cats out of the bag, but yes, those are anthropomorphic veggies.

My aim is to have 100 pages of 2 different stories set before I get them out there, but we live in a world where everything is teased and trailered and leaked to death, so here's some roughs that are not indicative of the final product, as things may change for better fit, story-telling purposes, and the rest of that stuff.

Probably set it up as a webcomic, though I'd love to print it at some point when it's all done.

Lucky for me, I think in cartoons and action-sequences, so most of this is easy, it's the slow, talk-y parts [like the diner] that are gonna have me scratching my head.

Abominable Charles Christopher / Karl Kerschel contest

Karl Kerschel, creator of the entertaining The Abominable Charles Christopher webcomic has a colouring contest going on.

So I tried my hand at it.
I'm never a fan of contests that don't have easily identifiable rules for what would make a winning entry, but then again, this is art, which is always subjective. So there I go.

Here's my colouring over his lineart :

It's been submitted to the facebook page.  I'm not looking so much to win the contest [which hey, would be nice, don't get me wrong], so much as I'm pushing myself to submit things that aren't perfect in my own eyes, because none of my work will ever be perfect to me. I can almost always see something, look back at works, that could be improved.
