Remembrance Day

I've lost touch with my old unit. And we're probably better off for it, as we don't need the reminder.
But the public does. The average civilian needs to know *some* of the hardship those who protect them endure, to be thankful that there are strangers who are driven to protect their country - and their fellow citizens - against the world.

I could make you scared, if you want me to

Wow. not sure how I haven't been updating this.
I *was* away from everything for a solid month..but there's been stuff I've made before and after that should've been uploaded here.

Here's some colour blocking of The Tragically Hip's final concert in Kingston.

Like the music or not, you can't help but admire a guy with life-ending cancer going out performing for fans.

Some painting

Hey folks, been a while.

Mostly I've been working on Oddly Aberrant comic stuff, and looking for work.
Stress is a killer for creative juices, and as such it feels like pulling teeth just trying to draw a line or paint a splotch.
*deep breath in, slow breath out*
But it could be worse, thank God it ain't.
Have some new-ish paintings.

Simple Painting

Just spending some time relaxing and painting random things.

Gotta love blending opaque colours together for a layered effect.

Working on some kudzu-esque vine overgrowth on some ruins.

I really like the textures for the water I managed to make... it really just jumps at me.

What is Truth?

There's a game called The Secret World...which, if memory serves, is based on the premise of:
"What if everything was true?"

From legends to urban myths...what if it was all real? And sick of hiding in the shadows?

Working on a little something that's along the same general lines... but perhaps more in an `Ugly Americans` meets `Men in Black` kind of vein.

rough cover idea...I gotta fix one of the hands.

More Division Pieces

Some of the other pieces I submitted to the contest.

Some are just painted, some are painted-over photo references.

Some good news - Ubisoft contacted me to get one of the above's files - I've got my assumptions, but won't say anything until after things are released.

Here's a couple entries - if you like my stuff, please visit the above link and vote for my art!

Oddly Aberrant

As you may or may not know, I do the art for a blogger & tumblr comic called OddlyAberrant.
[ Blogger here, Tumblr here ]

Figured I'd share some of the art with you here.
I do up the art, and send it to 2 writers, who throw one-liners onto it.
Simple, and very backwards to how most comics are made.

So, you know, go check out the comic.
Enjoy!
